Underfloor
heating is easier to install, control and maintain then
conventional heating. It is suitable for new builds as well
as existing systems. It is ideal for extensions, especially
conservatories and for heating individual rooms.
Underfloor heating works with almost all types of floors
from carpeting and tiles to concrete and timber.
Heating can either be controlled by individual rooms, by
a central system or automatically by temperature.
It is extremely safe and requires very little maintenance.

System
Warm water from the boiler system is circulated through continuous
lengths of pipe embedded in the floor, each room has its own circuit
and all circuits are connected to a distribution manifold. As each
room has its own circuit it is a simple process to apply room temperature
control, a thermostat is fitted in the room and connected to an
electrically operated valve on the circuit serving that room. |
 |
Control
Unlike conventional radiator systems, each room with underfloor
heating is able to have its own thermostat which can be controlled
independently, thus saving energy and money on running costs. The
low heat gradients and low humidity variations characteristic of
underfloor heating create a kind environment for you and for your
furniture |

Standard
Control
The water temperature flowing in the floor is set and adjusted by
the end user to suit the occupants requirements, this coupled with
individual room thermostats (including bathrooms), time control
and a wiring centre provides a comprehensive control system. The
end user will alter the flow temperature according to the external
conditions, from approximately 35-40 deg C in spring and autumn
to approximately 50-55 deg C in the winter.

 |
Weather
Compensation Control
Using this method the flow temperature is constantly being adjusted
to suit the prevailing conditions. Once time and temperature settings
have been programmed into the control unit no further input is required
by the end user. The floor warming system will operate at optimum
efficiency within the programmed inputs, providing the best possible
comfort level at the lowest running costs.

Maintenance
and Safety
Underfloor heating systems require less maintenance than conventional
heating systems.
Unlike radiators, underfloor heating systems do not have individual
valves in each room, which are prone to fail from time to time.
Likewise, underfloor heating systems do not need to be manually
bled.

 |
The
risk of injury particularly to children and the elderly through
the high temperatures or sharp corners of radiators is removed.
The circulation of dust and dust mites is reduced. There are no
radiators to collect dust and spiders' webs or to be cleaned, redecorated
or renewed.
The low heat gradients and low humidity variations characteristic
of underfloor heating create a kind environment for you and for
your furniture, antique or modern.
